4 Tips for Cheap Backpacking Through Europe

If you are traveling to Europe then you will know what an incredible experience this can be. You will also understand how incredible it is to get out there and see absolutely everything you have always wanted, even if you are on a budget. Here are some tips that I hope will help you along your way!

Packing Light

When you are backpacking, you need to pack as light as possible. You really don’t need to take four pairs of jeans with you when you are hiking and it won’t help you when you are running for your train either. You need to try and leave as much stuff as you can behind and it also helps to try and streamline what you do bring with you as well. On top of this, the last thing that you need is to bring something sentimental with you. Sure, you may want to take your grandfather’s watch when you get to the top of a very high mountain but at the end of the day, this is only going to cause you problems if you lose it. Better to be safe than sorry!

Camp Out

If you get the chance, you should camp out as a part of your trip. A lot of counties have a ton of comfortable camping areas and they won’t drain your money either. This is great if you have a good level of experience in camping and it is also great if you want to take your own tent with you as well. If you are willing to embrace your inner expert then you can easily camp just about anywhere.

Hostels

If you want to travel with a purpose then Global Adventure Challenges are a great way for you to go. You can easily see some of the most fantastic places in the world and all while raising money for charity. If you want to do this on a budget then hostels are the way to go. If you do choose a hostel then try and make sure that you choose one that has a communal kitchen. You will also want to access cooking equipment as well, as this will help you to save a lot of money.

The best thing about traveling to a hostel is that you can make a few new friends along the way and this can work wonders for your experience.

Taking Snacks

When you are on an adventure and you are living out of your backpack, you will feel drained at times. Snacks may seem like a simple addition but they can really help you to keep your energy levels high as well. This is especially the case if you need something between a meal to keep you going. There are a ton of local vendors in a huge range of areas that can help you with this and you can even pick up cereal bars as well as this is a great way for you to really make the most out of your trip without having to worry about the expense.
