Snow City Cafe | Anchorage, Alaska

A Local Favorite – Snow City Cafe

During our time in Anchorage, we wanted to try out some of the local restaurants. My favorite meal of the day happens to be breakfast and we found a place called Snow City Cafe that has amazing reviews for their brunch.

After leaving My Place Hotel for the day, we decided to head over to Snow City Cafe to see if it would live up to the hype. I am always excited to try restaurants in new cities, even though it may not always be great. More often than not, I am always happy to try a new place!

The Experience

Since the restaurant is located in a sort of downtown area, we found parking in a garage around a block away for cheap. We took the short walk over to the cafe to find that it was totally packed. I assumed that this was a good sign.

We put our name on the waiting list and only had to wait for 10-15 minutes. During this time, I decided to look over the menu and to admire the atmosphere. It is a cutely decorated place and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. It is very colorful inside and there is fun and upbeat music playing. I can definitely tell that this place is a local favorite.

After being seated, we decided on our food. I ordered the original french toast with hash browns, while Mason got french toast with eggs and reindeer sausage. This was his first time trying reindeer sausage, and apparently it was quite good!

I am so happy to report that the restaurant did in fact live up to the hype. Not only were the prices and affordable and the portions huge, but it also tasted amazing. There is almost nothing I love more than finding a great brunch spot, and guys, this is it.

    • I loved everything that I tried! Apparently their salmon is amazing but I was not able to try it unfortunately!

  1. We’re at this place last summer, probably parked in the same garage 😀. Don’t remember much about food other than being good but can’t forget the mimosa I ordered. They brought orange juice in a glass but left the sparkling wine in the bottle, unopened.
