101 Uses of Paracord | Why You’ll Always Want One With You

Everybody knows that we always have to be prepared. For what, who knows? But the key is to be prepared at whatever life throws at us. Sounds simple enough, but as we don’t know what we are being prepared for, it’s actually a difficult task if you thought about it. You can’t always carry a knife with you for the times when you need to cut something because it’s not always allowed. You can’t always carry an extra sling because where would you need that in your everyday life?

But it helps to be prepared. You can’t bring all the things that you think you would need for a perceived emergency, but you can bring something that barely takes up space or weighs anything. Just carry a paracord with you’d be set for almost everything.

Paracord, or parachute cord, is an unassuming-looking little thing that you can wear as a fashion accessory on your wrist and use it for almost any emergency. You can use it for outdoor survival, for medical situations, or even just for a personal crisis. And the best thing about it is that no one knows you came prepared.

Read on to find out what else you can do with a paracord, aside from just wearing it as a fashion accessory, that is.

  1. I use it to secure a barb wire gate if it’s to tight to get the keeper on. Or as a loop device to pull the post close enough to get the keeper on. Always has it on my saddle or ATV
