Recently I stopped over in Carlsbad during a road trip. I had been through the area before, but I had never really spent much time there.
Carlsbad is a lively beach town right outside of San Diego. While there, we stopped by South Ponto Beach. This is one of the widest beaches in the county and was not too crowded during our visit.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Extended Stay America while in Carlsbad.
This hotel was great for our stay. It was nice, comfortable, and had a kitchen to store all of our food items in.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we accidentally left both our keys in our rooms and went out (oops!). Having excellent service, such as the service I experienced here, can really help make a hotel stay even better.

The room we stayed in was everything we could have hoped for. We had been traveling for quite some time, so having a room with a couch and with comfortable beds was something that we very thankful to see.
The hotel was within walking distance of several stores, which was also very nice!
