The Bellwether Hotel – Louisville, KY

I recently took a quick overnight trip to Lousivlle, KY! Mason was going to do a set at the Caravan Comedy Club, and even though it’s only around a 3 and a half hour drive (anything under like 5 hours is a short drive to us), we decided to make a little trip of it and see what kind of cute hotel in Louisville we could find!

If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with all of the charm and none of the hassle, the Bellwether Hotel is perfect for you. Situated in an adorable part of town on “Louisville’s Greatest Street”, surrounded by houses adorned with Victorian charm, the Bellwether fits into the neighborhood perfectly.

Once you enter the hotel with your unique key code, you won’t find a typical check in. Instead, you’ll see the “selfie check in” complete with ring light and photo booth. If selfies aren’t your style, there’s no need to actually check in at all! Just head to your room, enter your code, and settle right in. I do like this part, especially if you were to be arriving late and just want to head straight to your room.

We didn’t need any type of service, but I believe they were only an email away if needed! While I was only in town for one night, this hotel has a way of making you feel at home. The gold and black kitchenette is modern and cute, while the pink, white and gray sleeping / lounge area has a feminine and light feel. It also had a bit of that historic charm, which I’m a big fan of.

One thing that you may not often find in a hotel room is a (decent) bathtub. In my experience, many times they are shallow or nonexistent. After a long day, I was delighted to come back to my room to relax in the deep soaking tub!

A few other nice features included:

  • A full length mirror
  • Robes and slippers
  • Microwave / mini fridge
  • A ceiling fan
  • Vanity kits and makeup towels

The rooms at The Bellwether are each unique, with their own aesthetic experiences. You have choices that include one bedroom suites, studios, and if you’re looking for luxury, check out the Highland Station room – complete with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a fully equipped kitchen!

During my short visit, the Bellwether definitely won me over. Next time I’m in the area I would definitely consider going back and checking out another one of their unique rooms! If you’re looking for an awesome hotel in Louisville, check it out!
