My Place Hotel Stay: Visiting North Las Vegas

When most people think of Las Vegas, they probably think of the Strip. I am here to tell you that you don’t have to stay on the strip to enjoy this area! In fact, North Las Vegas is an entirely different area that you should go to experience!

During a recent trip, I had the pleasure of staying My Place Hotel in North Las Vegas. This hotel is new to the area, and just opened up very recently.

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the friendly and helpful general manager. We had camped the night before so I was ready for a shower. Luckily, we were allowed to check in early (love when that happens!)

We took our bags upstairs and were greeted by a beautiful and modern new room. Although this is an extended stay hotel, it is honestly perfect for any amount of time that you may be visiting the area.

Some notable things about my room:

  • Included a cute little kitchen, complete with a 2-burner cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/disposal.
  • TV with HDMI and AV hookups
  • Nice sized table with chairs
  • Everything was new and had a modern feel
  • Neutrogena shampoo/soap (I’ve rarely seen this)
  • Free Wi-Fi

My Place really goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and have access to everything you need for your stay. They even have My Store, which has a variety of beverages, food items, and utensils/cookware for you to conveniently purchase.

Their lounge comes complete with 24 hour complimentary coffee!

You can also take advantage of their pretty awesome Breakfast in Bed service. Simply select your breakfast at check-in, and it will be delivered to your fridge the previous day!

Traveling with pets? No worries! My Place accepts up to two pets during your stay.

Although we were only in town for a couple of days, I found that there are plenty of things to do and see in this area. Some of those things include:

1.Aliante Nature Discovery Park

2.Broadacres Marketplace

3.CSN Planetarium

& Plenty More!

North Las Vegas is a city of it’s own, and has a lot to offer! If you find yourself planning a trip to this interesting and scenic area, be sure to check out My Place for a relaxing and comfortable stay!

Where in North Las Vegas is it? Good information. The hotel looks nice and Downtown and the strip are easy to get to by public trabsportation. North Las Vegas is very different from the Strip and even Downtown Las Vegas . They have their own mayor and city hall. I lived in North Las Vegas for about a week back in 2007. I’m sure the area has changed a lot.

I always enjoy the out of the way spots. They tend to be more peaceful.

  4. I just returned from Vegas as well, downtown is my Vegas place. I didn’t know North Las Vegas had appeal for tourists, thanks for sharing.

  5. Dave – South Carolina – Five hundred posts would suggest I have something to say… This blog was born from a desire to elevate the English language, highlighting eloquent words from days gone by. The stories I share are snippets of life itself, and each comes with a bonus: a dusted-off word I hope you’ll go on to use more often. Read “Deutschland-ish Improvements” to learn about my backyard European wish list. Try “Slush Fun” for the throwback years of the 7-Eleven convenience store. Or drink in "Iced Coffee" to discover the plight of the rural French cafe. On the lighter side, read "Late Night Racquet Sports" for my adventures with our latest moth invasion. As Walt Whitman said, “That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.” Here then, my verse. Welcome to Life In A Word.
