4 Things Not to Miss in NYC

NYC is always near the top of most traveler’s bucket lists. It’s an iconic city, with so many things to do and experiences to share. If I were to write a guide on all the things you can do in New York, then we’d be here all day! Instead, I’ve tried to narrow it down to just a few things which you won’t want to miss.

Take In The View at The Empire State Building

How can you go to New York and not take the classic journey up The Empire State Building? It’s one of the most well-known buildings in the world, and you can take a tour all the way up to the 102nd floor. This is the highest viewpoint for visitors and offers you a view of NYC that you’ll never forget. A once in a lifetime experience that can’t be missed!

Walk Around Central Park

New York is very much a city full of the hustle and bustle of urban life. There are cars on every road, people walking down every street, and it can be very overwhelming. Which is why visiting Central Park is a fantastic idea during your stay. This massive park is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise busy and frantic city. When I say it’s huge, I mean it! There are so many things to do inside this park, but one of the best ideas is to simply go for a long walk and take in your surroundings.

Spend The Day At Coney Island

Coney Island is a great place to spend the day if you’re looking for a little bit of fun. There are quintessential carnival vibes here, with plenty of carny games and rides to keep you amused. To get the most out of your visit, go on a Sunday where they have mind blowing magic shows. Make sure you check out an Event Calendar for New York before you go, to find the exact performance times. If you get hungry, then Coney Island is also home to a plethora of new restaurants and bars that will keep you well fed!

Visit The 9/11 Memorial

Few things in life will touch you as deeply as the 9/11 memorial in New York City. Two waterfalls now lie where the twin towers once stood, as a constant reminder of one of the world’s greatest tragedies. It’s an experience that sends shivers down your spine, and you should definitely take the time to visit this place if you’re in the city. Be respectful while you’re there, and just take a moment to really appreciate the life you’ve been given.

New York is a very diverse city that gives you so many different experiences that touch you in various ways. From the weird and wonderful experience on Coney Island to the poignant and touching experience at the 9/11 memorial – and everything in between. If you’re going to NYC, then make sure you cross these things off your travel list while you’re there!

Yes, I agree with all those! The 9/11 memorial is stunning. And Central Park could be the focal point of your entire trip, it’s so big and so many things to do along the park.
