You have the opportunity to go swimming with dolphins too, there are thousands of them around warm southern states!

Wine and Dine

California produces a whopping 90% of all America’s wine, so it’s well worth letting yourself indulge and taste lots of types of wine while you’re in the Golden State! There are lots of places you can go wine tasting, as well as shopping for some bottles to take home with you. It’s the perfect place to enjoy food from all cuisines and for all budgets.

The Golden Gate Bridge is of course one of California’s most famous landmarks. You could always book a sightseeing tour which goes over the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s a spectacular sight, and definitely one that you have to see while you’re in California.

Explore Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. The park is famous for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, as well as the ‘Tunnel View’ which is an iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall. Not to mention the granite cliffs of El Capitan, and Half Dome. Nearby you have Yosemite Village where you can find shops, restaurants, and lodging such as the Best Western PLUS Yosemite Gateway Inn. There’s plenty to see and do just at the national park alone.

Indulge in Some Retail Therapy

Some of the most high-end shops in the world call The Golden State home. We’ve all heard of the iconic Rodeo Drive, just about the best place in the world when it comes to luxury shopping. You could browse through the designer boutiques and shops, and experience the most glitzy and glamorous side of California. Chances are you could spot a celebrity or two in this area. 1. Beautiful photos! California IS on my bucket list. I definitely want to explore its wonderful coastline and wineries.

  2. Great list! I would add a visit to Venice Beach on a Saturday morning. It was one of my favorite things to do when I lived in LA. They have street performers, artists, a skate park, and a great selection of eclectic souvenirs, plus a beautiful stretch of beach.

  3. Interesting list. I Love California! Few more things that I enjoyed include Santa Monica and Venice beaches in LA; San Diego Zoo; Fishermans Wharf in SF and Universal Studios in LA 🙂

  4. Wow, absolutely spectacular pictures! You would love Oregon and Washington beaches, if you’ve never been. They just go on forever and are so flat.
