Relaxing Places to Visit in The US

Sometimes, you just need to chill out and relax. This means finding the perfect location to do so, because your bed at home simply does not cut it this time. It might also be that all of the vacations you have taken in the past years, you have spent skiing and partaking in adventuring holidays – while this time you just want to lay on your back and not worry about a thing in the world.

For you to reach your ultimate relaxation, it’s important to know where to travel to. But where to?

Here are a few ideas for you!

New England

People from New England have a slightly different view of life. The population is so sparsely located yet so connected, that the friendly goodwill of one another comes through in spades. The seafood here is to die for, and the sailing trips you can undertake professionally and individually leave you plenty of room to relax on the ocean. Not only that, but some of the most excellent museums in the country are located here. New England does have colder weather of course, but the six states which this comprises of, from Maine to Connecticut, are filled with gorgeous vistas, historical hotels, excellent restaurants and better people. Perfect for a no-pressure chilled out food tour.

Florida

Florida is one of the most beautiful states in the US. Heading to Disneyland during off-peak times can be a fun and relaxing way to reconnect with your childhood, while the many restaurants and areas there can afford you a wonderful time. Of course, you’re right on the coast, so staying at the Wyndham Garden Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port and heading on a cruise could truly gift you wondrous sights while laying on your back sipping on a Mojito the entire way through. Since summer is coming up, this could be the most perfect opportunity! Florida also has no shortage of stunning beaches where you can relax. A trip here is like treating your best self for a period, so be sure to consider it.

Oregon

I absolutely adore Oregon and find that it is one of the most underrated places in the US. If you really enjoy art with integrity, a blossoming and truly encouraging creative culture, and have any creative ambitions yourself, what better place to relax and absorb inspiration than here? Not only this, but the beautiful countryside of Oregon allows for some truly wide spanning exploratory adventures.

Oregon has the best of both worlds, as being situated on the cost and also relatively deep inland means the state hasn’t been relegated to coastal life like the previous two suggestions. A great array of movies, television shows and even now video games have been set in this location, so if you wish to see the beautiful sites of your favorite locales, this is a great place to do it.

With these locations in mind, you can enjoy an incredible, far-reaching and above all relaxing visit to the US.

Where is your favorite place to relax?

  1. I really loved Oregon when I visited a few summers ago. Might have to move there! Another good region for a chill vacation is the Blue Ridge. Most of the area is rural, but there are plenty of cabins for rent.

  2. If I could choose in the whole United States, I will rest in the Hawaii and especially in the island of Maui. Been there one week and it was extremely relaxing. Beautiful sea and a lot of green, park, waterfall, river. Everything you need to relax.

  3. Hawaii is a beautiful place to chill, but so are Bar Harbour & the rocky Maine coast in summer, the Shenandoah mountains of Virginia in fall, and the beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks anytime!

  4. The Big Sur area close to Monterey, California. Not only is Big Sur a beautiful area itself, nearby areas such as 17 Mile Drive, Carmel California, and the Monterey Aquarium will occupy several days of any vacation.
